UK Procurement and Transparency Changes in 2023. PPN/01/23 Requirements to Publish on Contracts Finder.

A new Procurement Policy Note (PPN) landed in January, the first of 2023, following the amendment of the PCR 2015 pre-Christmas to change the publication figures below the threshold from:

- £10,000 to £12,000 for central government authorities; and
- £25,000 to £30,000 for sub-central authorities (including local government)

Those figures are now VAT inclusive (hence the change, to return to the previous status quo).

The new PPN provides consolidated guidance that reminds public bodies of the requirements of the PCR 2015 to publish information about opportunities and awards, over certain value thresholds, on Contracts Finder. It offers guidance on what needs published on Contracts Finder, and when. Likewise, it sets out the relevant exemptions (which include local authority schools and academies) - see the link below for full details.

Suppliers should note that only Part 1 of the PPN applies to local government; Part 2 applies to central government authorities.
