Procurement Bill Update - April
The Cabinet Office update from April confirms that the Procurement Bill "will now proceed to Report and then Third Reading," which is expected in May. The Bill is expected to be granted Royal Assent "later this spring," after which "work to finalise the secondary legislation (Statutory Instruments, or regulations) will take centre stage, including a public consultation on the draught regulations."
Because there is no explicit mention of a go-live date this month, one might assume that the previous update of "go-live will be spring 2024 at the earliest" has not changed materially.
The update also includes a stakeholder survey as well as information about the digital platform and learning and development offerings. It summarises some of the new notices and, where applicable, what the current regime's equivalent is.
